With workers and management that are in their salad years and those bothered by the aches, there's an ease in the embrace of indigenous and new-age agricultural science systems.

Theirs is a transition from fallow land to a major boost in the quest for increased food security and a glittering source of sustainable livelihoods for the beneficiaries. Hello sunshine!! The Cooperative is also gearing towards farming completely off the grid and reaping extra income from the supply of excess electricity to the grid.Manyeding Agricultural Cooperative is nestled in the southern part of the Northern Cape's Joe Morolong Local Municipality which forms part of the John Taolo Gaetsewe District Municipality. The historic and picturesque town of Kuruman is their nearest economic hub and niche market.
The village of Manyeding falls under the jurisdiction of Ba-Ga Jantjie Tribal Authority. The Cooperative provides a livelihood for over a hundred household beneficiaries from Skema, Manyeding and Ga- Mothibi.
Whilst priding themselves with productive and sustainable open-field farming, the Cooperative has also embraced the age of hydroponics (greenhouse production) and is already supplying its varied markets with produce from the tunnels. From the early inception days of 1940 when the plantation was known as “Skema” to the formalisation of production between 1981-1998 with Chinese nationals being on board and to hitting rock bottom with the land lying fallow until 2009, the democratic state has given this Cooperative its better days. These better days were also symbolised by the Cooperative having hosted H.E President Jacob Zuma and then Minister of Agriculture Tina Joemat-Pettersson in 2013.
- Produce and Markets: Open-field production – squash, pumpkin, carrots, beetroot, lettuce, potatoes, spinach are supplied to all Kuruman based major Supermarkets, vendors, pension pay points and markets in Kimberley.
- Key Infrastructure: greenhouses, mini-solar park, reticulation dam with 5km pipeline, packaging house and offices, irrigation infrastructure with centre-pivot, 10 000 litre tank amongst others.
- Government Spent: over R15million (Comprehensive Agricultural Support Programme and Fetsa Tlala).
